Keyboarding Jeopardy Game

I had so much fun creating this!

I needed something to use as a final exam in keyboarding classes. Written tests just didn’t inspire me or my students. So, I modified a 4th grade math teacher’s idea for using Jeopardy to reinforce math through the game format.

I break the students up into groups “randomly” (actually, I give a lot of thought to making sure they are evenly balanced in knowledge and ability — based on observing and grading their daily work).

They win and lose (fake) money, just like on TV. The group that makes the most money gets a 100, second-most a 90, third-most an 80, and fourth-most a 70.

It is a great success! The students love it, and the competition for grades makes them take the activity quite seriously.
