When I was a college department chair, I was required to provide periodic professional development for faculty I supervised.
Inspired by the first few courses I’d completed at Tusculum, one of the best sessions I ever held was on adult learning styles.
Because we didn’t get paid for time outside actual classroom hours, I lifted much of the material in the handout from a Web document created in 1996 and attributed to Jessica Blackmore (with credit in the footer!). The original document is no longer on-line. I thought it was a spectacular introduction for the training need I had to fulfill, and I’m glad I still have the information since it’s no longer available. (Yes, I could recreate it, but why? <g>)
