Teaching About Teams

I developed a creative, engaging lesson on teamwork.

After classroom discussions and background reading on personality types and team-building, students watch the movie The Breakfast Club.  Then, they break into groups and answer several questions.  The answers have to reflect every student’s thoughts and ideas, rather than a consensus based on the majority of opinions (unless everyone shares the same idea).

I once had a class where no one had seen the movie.  I suddenly felt very old. <g>
